I was greatly surprised to see that the Huffington Post has attracted the likes of Jim Carrey, Sean Penn and Robert Redford in writing articles for them. But it makes me wonder about something, do these people actually take the time in crafting these posts or do these guys have ghostwriters doing the deed for them?
I’ve recently been looking at smartphones which could possibly replace my old and trusty Nokia 6310i (which I got for P13,000 or $270 USD back when it was still being sold brand new).
I’ve tried using a Nokia E61 and a Nokia N90 but I never really got around to liking those two compared to my Nokia 6310i. I guess it’s mainly because I don’t use my phone much other than for texting or calling. Sometimes I actually barely even use it. (more…)
Greetings to all frequent and new visitors of Eclectic Electronics! It’s been a little over 3 months since I started this site and as you can see, content is slowly adding up.
No time to update today though, as I have a splitting headache. Meanwhile I am soliciting for comments on the site, layout and encountered bugs. It would be greatly appreciated. You can use the comment form of this post or directly e-mail me via the Contact link on the sidebar. Suggestions for technology and home theater topics are also welcome, drop me an e-mail if you have any requests.
Some of the recent changes made to the site:
- Google search box placed above the fold
- Added translator plugin for possible foreign visitors
- Fixed the layout of the sidebar since I found it a bit unruly (did the main page first, single posts and other pages will follow)
- Should you wish to recommend this site to your friends or other people, I have placed numerous social bookmarking (Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg) icons on the sidebar
- You can also choose to follow me on Twitter via the Twitter icon on the sidebar
We’ve never had a cat before, but nevertheless this video is extremely hilarious. The cat is actually enjoying the massage being given by the subwoofer. Behold Subwoofer Cat! I like subwoofers, but I never really thought or imagined being able to see a cat stay on a subwoofer while it vibrates intensely.
Today marks one of the most historic events in American history. Barack H. Obama became the 44th President of the United States of America. He is also the first ever African-American to be elected into the highest ranking office of the United States. Inauguration Day is traditionally done at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC.

The picture shown above shows the innumerable crowd that attended the inauguration ceremony. I was hanging out on Twitter‘s site and it actually felt weird that I was somewhere amidst the inauguration because everyone was just talking and commenting about it.
Hopefully the President’s goals and dreams for the country will be achieved by his administration, as the United States is really in a crisis right now amidst the subprime mortgage crisis and credit crunching.
God Bless America.
