Heroes: “Cold Snap” (03-23-2009)

HeroesIt has certainly been a while now since a Heroes episode has wow’ed me. Last Monday’s “Cold Snap” episode was certainly interesting. I don’t know if the absense of Hayden Panetierre contributed to the overall success of the show since she sometimes just makes too suffering to watch.

Heroes renewed for a fourth season on 2010

HeroesHeroes’ ratings has been going downhill since its 2nd season. One of Greg Grunberg’s recent tweets raised an alert to fans of the show on whether Heroes was going to be canceled. Just a few minutes after that, Grunberg amended his statement. Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) and Brea Grant (Daphne Millbrook) are known to be active on Twitter.

Heroes: Volume 4: Fugitives

Heroes

I was honestly surprised that the comeback episode of Heroes last Monday turned out pretty well. They seemed to have gotten back to the 1st season’s roots, where the characters have extraordinary abilities yet try to live ordinary lives. But of course, only time will tell whether this show will survive or not, depending on the ratings of the remaining episodes of Volume 4.

I can’t seem to get over the fact that Peter now has to come in contact with somebody to absorb an ability (and he seems to be able to absorb only one at a time). The only logical way I can think that happened is due to the serum he injected to himself. With the way Peter is getting his powers, Sylar is pretty much the Heroes god now.

Nathan and HRG teaming up as the villains this time around is certainly a nice twist.

So far I think Claire is the only one being hard-headed about not wanting to be normal like everyone else. The previous volume was like X-Men on steroids, everybody had these crazy abilities and characters just kept on popping out relentlessly!

I’m crossing my fingers that this volume turns out well compared to the the 2nd and 3rd volumes.

The Big Sheldon Theory: How to make friends?

The Big Bang Theory: Season Two Cast

The Big Bang Theory‘s 30th episode, entitled “The Friendship Algorithm,” aired last night and as usual, it was a totally fun ride. Jim Parsons’ character, Sheldon Cooper, was again the main star of the episode. I am not necessarily saying that the show is going bad because they only focus on Sheldon most of the time. Heck! I’d even watch this show over Heroes! But I do think that followers of the show would get glued to their TVs even more if they effectively develop the rest of the cast.

The show definitely has its moments on every episode. While they often use some words which I need to Google from time to time, it still is overall, fun to watch. I am hoping they renew it for a 3rd season!

What can you say about The Big Bang Theory‘s 2nd season so far?

Impressions on The Office & Smallville comeback episodes.

The Office: Season Five Cast Photo

The Office was absolutely hilarious, more than the usual. The Dwight vs. Andy showdown was classic. Also absolutely loved the way Kevin and Oscar were ganging up on Angela to tell Andy. Michael was the one who put the nail through to Andy though. Solid comeback!

Smallville: Lois Lane and Clark Kent

Smallville is surprisingly, in my opinion, getting better and better as the current season progresses. Don’t entirely know about the Legion of Heroes twist though. I was not a fan of the comic books.

Definitely looking much better than Heroes! There are currently talks on whether a 9th season would be possible. Hopefully the writers have enough creative juice up their sleeves to keep the show alive. I am really surprised how the show is nicely turning out even in the absence of Lex Luthor.
