Amazon seems to have a finalized a release date of September 27, 2011 for Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blu-ray] (For the UK, release is possibly on September 30, 2011). Since that day is a Tuesday, it could very well be the truth. If you collect DVD/Blu-ray movies, you’d know that new releases typically come out during Tuesdays. The complete Star Wars saga, aside from coming in 1080p high definition, will also feature “more than 30 hours of extensive special features (spanning across three discs) including never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives, and much more.”

The image above is something I found via Google Image search and are presumably what the cover art would look like. Star Wars: The Complete Saga will come in a 9-disc set which includes the 6 films (1 film per disc) and 3 bonus feature discs. I’m not entirely certain how they’re gonna chop the bonus feature discs across the Prequel and Original Trilogy sets.

Order yours today! Black is the complete saga containing all six films, blue is the original trilogy (Episodes IV-VI) starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher and red is the prequel trilogy (Episodes I-III).
