Looks like the US is on the losing of the game console world again. A Nintendo America representative stated to GameDaily (with regards to getting a piano gloss black Nintendo Wii onto US shores):

“no plans to have other colors of Wii in the U.S.”

Hopefully, that’s not a final thing. As we all know, dishing out different colorways (particularly black) during declining product sales is sure to spice things up a bit! Just check out what they’ve been doing with the Nintendo DS Lite/DSi.

The US has also been eagerly awaiting additional colors for the Nintendo DSi, which are only available in Japan as of now.
