The Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player is now available, to select people. The company is now reportedly sending invitations to those who were left out on the Early Adoption Program (EAP). Over 27,000 people have applied during the EAP, but only some have gotten their chance. Once all invitations have been exhausted, Oppo will start offering the BDP-83 to the general public.
Pricing is set at $599 USD for the BDP-83. Eligible individuals who line up to pre-order can get it for just $499 USD. It will also be available in other countries. For a complete list of countries, head on over to Blu-ray.com.
You can pretty much consider the BDP-83 somewhat like a super Blu-ray player, because it will most probably have the upscaling wonders that Oppo’s are known for, plus a full-featurerd Blu-ray player to boot!
