The Amazon Kindle DX is apparently out of stock (for the 2nd time! It was also sold out a couple of weeks ago) since it started shipping on June 10, 2009. According to Amazon’s estimates, it will start shipping again in about 4 to 6 weeks.
Meanwhile, if you’re craving to satisfy your Kindle itch, possibly settle for the smaller-screened version, the Kindle 2.
Availability
Due to heavy customer demand, Kindle DX is sold out. Please ORDER KINDLE NOW to reserve your place in line. We prioritize orders on a first come, first served basis. Note that Kindles cannot currently be sold or shipped to customers living outside of the U.S.
Be sure to order yours if you want one because they come on a first come, first served basis. Considering the Kindle DX’s high price tag of $489 USD, I am quite surprised that these things are going quick off Amazon’s shelves.
