I would consider Apple iPhone gaming as a miniaturized version of the Nintendo Wii, because the game the games are highly interactive. There are no buttons or directional pads to press. Simply just interact with the objects right on your screen. With some games, you even tilt the phone to invoke an in-game action, a particular example would be a driving game.

What made the Nintendo Wii successful was its degree of interactivity with the user. When you play bowling, you have to gesture throwing a ball towards a bowling lane. Although the Apple iPhone is not a full-fledged gaming device, the games available for it are highly enjoyable.

As of today, there are 6,200+ games in Apple’s App Store inventory. 17% of the games available are said to be puzzles, the others are scattered amongst various gaming genres. Approximately 25% of the available iPhone applications are games.
