Close to two months after their January 17th announcement, Circuit City is now officially closed. The company was supposedly going to close at the end of March, but it seems that the liquidation sale has went pretty well for them, thereby allowing them to close stores earlier than planned. They have reportedly sold over $1 billion during the liquidation period.
Many people are also as of today, officially unemployed. Previous Circuit City store locations across the United States are also going to be available for other people’s business. Who’s going to rent them with the current economic slump? Only time will tell.
R.I.P. Circuit City.
