Many manufacturers are still continuously pouring out netbooks into the market. Dell will be coming out with a mini-update on their Dell Mini 10, which will be called the Dell Mini 10v.
The netbook will be loaded with an Intel Atom N270 processor instead of the common Z-series one. It has everything else you would ever need in a netbook, adequate sized hard disk of 120GB, sufficient memory at 1GB and integrated webcam. CrunchGear has mentioned the availability of solid-state disk (SSD) options for the Mini 10v but I couldn’t spot it anywhere at Dell’s website as of the moment. Anyhow, it will run you around $75 more for a 32GB SSD and $125 for a 64GB SSD.
The Dell Mini 10v netbook starts shipping mid-May according to their latest catalog PDF and will be priced $100 lower than the current Dell Mini 10, putting it at the $299 price point.
