The SDXC format was unveiled during CES 2009. Pretec will be the first brand to offer SDXC cards to consumers which showcase 32GB capacity with a blazing-fast transfer rate of 50MB/s (And I thought the Sandisk Extreme III/IV line at 20-30MB/s were fast monsters). The maximum transfer speed of SDXC cards was mentioned to be around 104MB/s, with plans to go to as fast as 300MB/s in the future.
No known devices are capable of using these cards yet. Pricing is also yet to be revealed.
