Logitech is launching a new line of multimedia speaker systems which aim to envelope the user in sound, no matter where they are. The user doesn’t have to be directly in front of the sweet spot in order to have a “maximized sound experience.”
The Logitech Z523 and Z323 are 2.1 systems which feature a subwoofer coupled with dual satellites while the Z520 and Z320 are 2.0 systems which come with two satellites only.
Certainly, you would ask how these speakers are different from Logitech’s previous offerings. These four speaker systems feature what they call 360-degree sound or omnidirectional acoustics.
If we are to take the phrase omnidirectional acoustics literally, it would mean that there is sound present in every direction. Therefore, no matter where you are in the room, you would hear the sound as intended. If you want to read Logitech’s explanation of the phrase, then go here. In order to achieve 360-degree sound, Logitech employs drivers on the front and the back of the speakers.
The Logitech Z320 2.0 Speaker System and Logitech Z323 2.1 Speaker System are expected to be available in the US and Europe for a SRP of $69.99 USD in August and September respectively.
The Logitech Z523 2.1 Speaker System is expected to be available in the US and Europe beginning in July for a SRP of $99.99 USD.
The Logitech Z520 2.0 Speaker System is expected to be available in the US and Europe beginning in July for a SRP of $129.99 USD.
