Logitech is aiming to improve PC clutter with the introduction of the Unifying receiver. It’s particularly small, putting it in the same league as the VX Nano receiver which you can simply plug-in-and-forget-about.
The Logitech Unifying receiver can connect to multiple keyboards and mices, up to six actually. Take note that your devices have to be Unifying-compatible in order for it to work with the Unifying receiver.
Logitech will be debutting the Unifying receiver with four devices, two of which are mice and two are keyboards:
| Product | Price | Availability |
| Wireless Keyboard K340 | $49.99 | September 2009 |
| Wireless Keyboard K350 | $59.99 | September 2009 |
| Wireless Mouse M505 | $49.99 | August 2009 |
| Wireless Mouse M705 | $69.99 | US: Early 2010; Europe: August 2009 |
The first device plugged in is instantly recognized by the Unifying receiver. If you intend to plug in additional keyboards or mice, you have to download the Unifying software which guides you on how to get your additional devices up and running.
