Asus P835 WVGA touchscreen PDA phone

The Asus P835 main highlight is its 3.5-inch WVGA resolution (800×480) screen. It features 5 times (yes, you read that right, 5 times!) the number of pixels on a normal PDA phone. I would say 98% of PDA phones utilize QVGA resolution (320×240), there were a couple of manufacturers gutsy enough to offer VGA resolution (640×480) PDA phones but they never got the attention of the public.

The increased real estate of the screen will surely help those on the go during web surfing and for editing those important office documents, but the device is reportedly only using a 1100mAh battery. I am pretty certain that the improved resolution will take a toll on the battery life, PDA phones usually only last less than 24 hours during normal use. This would probably mean even less for this phone unless Asus has some secret up their sleeve. Another main highlight of this PDA phone is its capability to act as a wireless access point for up to 10 other devices. The device also features Asus’ exclusive Glide mobile user interface. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1.
