Search engine behemoth Google is possibly facing investigation of monopoly. Christine Varney, who has been nominated by President Barack Obama as the new Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust at the United States Department of Justice, said that Google would be a suitable candidate for investigation because of monopolizing internet advertising. Varney might have been nominated for the job under the assumption of her experience in going against Microsoft some years back.
If you would notice, many things have a Google counterpart. The company seems to have grown exponentially throughout the past few years. I still remember the times when the Yahoo! Search Engine ruled the internet.
