Heroes‘ ratings have pretty much been gone downhill since its 2nd season. The 1st season was what I would wall “great writing,” characters were developed nicely and storylines were still somewhat feasible and realistic. Season one was about ordinary people dealing with extraordinary powers, that’s what made the show stood out. During the 2nd season they were starting to lose track and then they really went overboard with the 3rd season, introducing loads (and I mean LOADS) of new characters which never get developed. All they do is pretty much showcase special effects by giving everyone special powers.
Hopefully, Tim Kring will be able to pick up the series from its feet. Season one showed immense potential, but they ruined it. Quoting Tim Kring regarding the next volume,
“This volume starts us pretty much from scratch.”
“There is almost nothing that the audience needs to know from the previous volume in order to follow the storyline.”
The 4th season or Volume as they call it, entitled Fugitives starts on February 2nd.
