
As many of you very well know, the Nintendo DSi is slated for a US release on April 5, 2009. Meanwhile the Japanese will be getting three additional colors starting March 20th, Pink, Lime Green and Metallic Blue. The Nintendo DSi is priced in Japan at ¥18,900 (approximately $195 USD). It was released on November 1, 2008 in Japan, with initial color availability being black and white. The US version, to be available in Matte Black, Matte Blue, will be priced at $170.
Notable changes of the DSi from the DS Lite are the following:
- Two 0.3 megapixel cameras
- Slightly larger screen size
- SD card slot
- Improved speakers
- No more Game Boy Advance cartridge slot
