Most people would agree that Japanese people are very innovative in almost every area imaginable, whether it be video games, electronics, phones, among other things. Making sexually-inclined video games is not new for the Japanese but I would have to say that they stepped over the line when they introduced the concept of raping as the main feature/goal of a video game. Rape is a criminal offense in many, if not all nations.
It has been said that sometimes video games affect the personality of human being, that sometimes they become violent from playing too much video games. With that said, the game Rapeplay, would appear to be condoning rape depending on how people perceive it. The game was initially being sold by a third-party seller on Amazon. But they have already done corrective measures on their part due to media reports and pressure. I am sure that they don’t want their online reputation to be put on the line simply because of a single product.
