There is leaked information going around Sprint that the Palm Pre is going to be released either on May 17th or June 29th.

Hopefully, Palm gets wise and releases the Pre early while the hype is still alive and kicking. Demand will surely drop once other manufacturers offer their new devices as well.

The leaked info states that employees will not be allowed to take vacations on May, in order to make time for employees who will be trained to showcase the features and uniqueness of the Palm Pre.

Sprint is believed to start receiving shipments of the Palm Pre starting late April. If they think the shipment quantity is enough to meet the demand, they might release it on May 17th, otherwise it’ll be set on June 29th.

According to PC World, Palm will be releasing a GSM version of the Palm Pre. Sprint will have exclusivity on the Palm Pre for at least 90 days.

Palm fans out there, do not forget that the Palm Pre will be able to run Palm OS apps via an emulator that is being conjured up by MotionApps.
