The Sony Ericsson Idou is one of the first phones to utilize the Symbian Foundation platform.
The device features a 3.5-inch 360 x 640 resolution screen, accelerometer sensor (which seems to be standard issue on high-end phones nowadays), 3G, WiFi, and last but not least, a whopping 12 megapixel autofocus camera with xenon flash! The Symbian Foundation operating system is based on both Symbian’s Series 60 and UIQ, which definitely gives away that the screen is touch-based.
It is the first of many Sony Ericsson devices that will be released under the Entertainment Unlimited strategy, which aims to fuse Cyber-Shot and Walkman elements into a single device.
Expected release date of the Sony Ericsson Idou is on October 2009.
