I didn’t realize that PlayStation 2’s are still selling up to this day. I purchased the gaming console years ago for around P16,000 ($400 USD) here in the Philippines. I didn’t really hang to it very long since I got tired of playing.

Fast forward to now, they’re going to be selling the PlayStation 2’s in the US for just $99 starting on April 1st! Pretty amazing price, if you ask me. It not only has a massive game library, but it also doubles as a DVD player!

For those who have simply come to love the technology of the PlayStation 2, there are many games out there which will definitely satisfy your gaming needs if you’re not into the high-end looking graphics of the PlayStation 3 (but then, who doesn’t want eyecandy?!)

Look at the picture on the left and see how much they’ve shrunk down the PS2! It’s practically somewhat the size of currently available Netbooks. It’s pretty portable, thing is you just have to lug around the cables for it and have a display read for where you’re going.

The Sony PlayStation 2 has been around for nine years and has sold over 50 million units worldwide. Hah! I wonder when the PlayStation 3 or the Nintendo Wii will get to topple over those figures.
