You’d think somebody would be wise enough to limit usage of a metered internet connection while roaming. Well, think again! A guy named Alberto, was reportedly charged $62,000 USD for downloading Wall-E via his broadband data card, by an undisclosed wireless carrier upon return from his roaming trip.
The wireless carrier reportedly brought down the sum after some haggling, Alberto needs to pay $17,000 USD instead of the original amount, because the wireless carrier says it cost them that much to deliver the movie/data to him.
While the total amount may still puzzle many people, he didn’t mention how big the file was. C’mon! Talk about being ignorant! Getting the DVD or Blu-ray would have been a much cheaper and easier solution.
