The WD TV, possibly the cheapest networked media tank currently available, is getting a minor feature set upgrade in the form of the leaked WD TV-2.
The WD TV-2 is built upon the same enclosure as the first generation WD TV except this time, it looks to be sporting a matte grey-finished look instead of piano gloss black.
Major highlights include DTS decoding, component output and an ethernet port for streaming via your network. As with the WD TV, it supports nearly every codec and outputs a maximum 1080p via HDMI.
No word on price or release date, expect this to cost somewhere near the $130-range of the WD TV.
