Steve Ballmer / Windows 7

Microsoft’s Windows 7 will be generally available starting October 22, 2009. That’s a day earlier than the release of Acer’s all-in-one Z5600 PC, which is loaded with Windows 7.

As usual, there will be multiple variants of Windows 7. So, be sure you know what you need in order not to overspend for y our particular version of Windows 7. But if money isn’t an object, then getting the Ultimate edition would definitely make you worry about less things.

Will pricing indeed be a hindrance for those wanting to adopt Windows 7? No pricing schemes have been mentioned as of yet.

If you’re itching to try out Windows 7 and don’t want to wait until October 2009, then check out the Release Candidate of the opearting system for now. Oh, and if you’re unsure whether your system can handle Windows 7, the minimum system requirements are listed down here.
