@Drey

Honestly, I'm not so sure. Better call Cignal at the number stated in the post.

Please reply to my question.

I currently have Dream. I am thinking of switching to Cignal. Is it necessary for me to purchase all new equipment? Or can my existing dish and cable be used, and only replace the converter box and signal card?

@jess

Yes, they're broadcasting HD now. I think there are only 5-8 channels on HD though.

I can say it is not expensive in 390/month for HD sat rcvr. I been waiting for Sky Cable to release their HDTV box, pero mukang matagal pa yun. for some subscriber using ordinary LCD TV this is not recommended for you, coz you only have RCA for A/V input. you can experience good reception but not as sharp and clear as HDTV using 1080 HDMI/DVI interface.

Can somebody tell me more about the box output (PbPr/HDMI or DVI)available ba lahat sa box? and feature of box like: PIP, Mutli-channel selection, locking, etc...?

@brunix

Does the signal deteriorate during harsh weather conditions? Were you specifically told by a Cignal employee that additional channels will be included in their future line-up?

I had Cignal SD installed last Monday (Aug 24) and I can say that it has excellent audio and video quality. No regrets even if it only offers 20+ TV channels and 8 radio stations (1 AM and 7 FM). Anyway, additional channels will be added in the future so I'll be patient. Also, it has all the channels I frequently tune in to.

But hey, at least it has HBO, unlike the 390 package of Dream.

Here is the channel line-up with their corresponding channel assignments:

2 - ABS-CBN
4 - NBN
5 - TV5
7 - GMA
9 - C/S9
11 - QTV
13 - IBC
21 - ETC/SBN
23 - Studio 23
29 - 2nd Avenue/RJTV
30 - RHTV (DZRH Television)
31 - CNN
32 - Cartoon Network
33 - Disney Channel
34 - Viva Cinema
35 - Pinoy Box Office
36 - HBO
37 - AXN
38 - Bio. (The Biography Channel)
48 - Cignal PPV (SD)

80 - DZRH
81 - 90.7 Love Radio
82 - 101.1 YES FM
83 - Magic 89.9
84 - 923 XFM
85 - 99.5 RT
86 - NU107
87 - GV FM Angeles

So it's really just P390 per month with both high definition and standard definition channels? Is the picture quality good?
