Seen this puzzling AT&T advertisement at your local AT&T Store? Poke some fun at the employees by asking why the Nokia E71x is trying hard to be a BlackBerry!

I guess it’s about time Nokia came up with something to rival T-Mobile’s Sidekick LX 2009. Nokia’s “socially supercharged” Surge features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and runs on the Symbian S60 interface. It also features a 2.4″ QVGA (320 x 240) resolution screen, HSDPA connectivity up to 3.6Mbps, 2 megapixel camera, microSD expansion up to 8GB. It runs on a 1500mAh battery, same as the E71x if I’m not mistaken, which definitely means that you’ll get loads of talk and standby time.
The Samsung Jack (otherwise also known as the BlackJack III) from AT&T runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 (upgradeable to 6.5 once available) and will feature the following: 2.4-inch QVGA resolution screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, A-GPS. (more…)

This is probably why AT&T wants to extend iPhone exclusivity. Reports indicate that AT&T made a $3.1 billion from $30.6 billion in revenues.
FamilyMap is a new tracking service from AT&T. It allows you to stalk watch over family members and loved ones.
The service tracks users in two ways: A-GPS (if your phone has one) or alternative location tracking technology (probably through triangulation via the cell sites where your phone is getting a signal from).
