AT&T is releasing six QWERTY phones from Nokia, Samsung and LG for its Spring 2009 line-up. The delayed Nokia E71x will officially be available for just $99 after a $50 rebate. The rebate will be in a form of an AT&T promotion card. As to what that card will do, I certainly do not know but I am taking a stab that it can be used to avail of other AT&T products and services.
Seems like AT&T is focusing on messaging usage for Spring because all their offerings sport QWERTY keyboards.

The Nokia E71x from AT&T was supposedly going to be released March 24, 2009. According to Boy Genius Report, AT&T has decided to delay the release of the device for at least eight weeks since they wanted to do a new firmware build. The issue to be resolved in the new firmware build pertains to e-mail/Mail for Exchange syncing.
This is pretty old news for your frequent mobile phone shoppers out there, but here goes. The AT&T Nokia E71x is reportedly going to run on Symbian S60 3rd edition Feature Pack 2 (S60v3 FP2). For a list of significant improvements over FP1, you can check out the list here.
The unbranded/unlocked versions available since last year only run on S60v3 FP1. (more…)
