RadioShack now carrying the T-Mobile myTouch 3G

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G is now available across the over 4,000 locations RadioShack has in the United States and Puerto Rico.

I wonder if T-Mobile lets RadioShack employees in on their unit-specific trainings in order to properly acquaint them with the devices. Possible, yet highly unlikely.

T-Mobile’s myTouch 3G is available starting today at T-Mobile retail, partner locations and also at http://www.t-mobilemytouch.com.

“myTouch 3G can be personalized to wholly reflect your individuality, pride and passion, making it ‘100% you,’” said Denny Marie Post, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA. “We’ll help this come to life from the get-go at our retail stores, where unique sample personas will be displayed to illustrate some of the many customization options. Also, our skilled myTouch 3G Retail Champions will learn about our customers’ interests and needs to make sure they’re suited to make their myTouch unlike any other.”

The myTouch 3G, designed by HTC for T-Mobile, is available for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement. The device will be available in three colors: white, merlot and black.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G is scheduled for release tomorrow, August 5th. TeleNav will be offering a free 30-day trial of their GPS Navigator software to those who will be purchasing the myTouch 3G.

T-Mobile USA subscribers yearning to get their hands on the HTC Touch Pro2 or Wing II will just have to wait a little longer. Originally, the T-Mobile Wing II was set for a July 22, 2009 release, but the Android-based myTouch 3G seems to have interfered with that.

The T-Mobile Wing II is now scheduled for an August 12 release, which is 3 weeks later than was originally stated.

The HTC Snap/T-Mobile Dash is still on track for a July 8 release. The QWERTY Windows Mobile-loaded messenger phone will cost $169.99 with a 2-year imprisonment tie-in with T-Mobile.

Pre-order for the myTouch 3G starts on July 8, 2009. myTouch 3G release is on August 5. One week earlier than the Wing II! It seems like T-Mobile’s giving Google a head start!
